Liz has been one of my closest and dearest friends since our fifth grade year—approximately nineteen years of friendship. We’ve shared life’s ups and downs, been through thick and thin and seen each other through so many of life’s adventures. She stood at my side at my wedding and has always been there when I needed a sound ear, some solid advice or someone to vent to—so when she met Ladd and insisted that I meet him too, I knew it was going to be something magical. Ladd is the yin to Liz’s yang, the practical to Liz’s whimsical and the overall perfect compliment to such an incredible human being. And when Liz and Ladd began planning their wedding I couldn’t wait to get started on what we all knew would be the epitome of a bespoke secret garden wedding hidden away in the center of Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood!
Great Lakes Brewing Company was the perfect backdrop with its gorgeous brick walls, antique bar and incredible staff and we embraced every bit of the moody November weather. We worked with a stunning color palette of burnt orange, emerald greens, oxblood, plum. copper and goldenrod to create perfect invitations and day of signage including the coolest interactive seating chart!

The perfect way to help guests fill the time between the ceremony and reception was to give them this incredible hand painted map of Liz and Ladd’s favorite Ohio City bars—including Market Garden, Nano Brew and obviously Great Lakes!

“I had a very specific vision for what I hoped our wedding suite would look like and Katie went above and beyond. Every detail was customizable and when I didn’t love something Katie was always willing to send multiple options. On top of all of that I really wanted a water color map of our favorite places near our wedding venue and it couldn’t have turned out more beautiful. I am so pleased with how well her work ( invitation suite, place cards, reception signage, programs with the map of Ohio City, and table numbers) tied my vision for our wedding together and was completely unique to us.” -LIZ F.
