Idea One: Place cards

Giving guests a beautiful little card with their very own name on it not only makes them feel beyond welcomed at your wedding, it also gives them the very important information of where they should sit! Place cards can be so simple-sweet little folded paper tents or bold pops of colors! I love when brides and grooms go with something unique like pieces of fruit, large magnolia leaves or any type of take home favor that will help them remember your wedding day just that much more! For these gorgeous place cards we hand painted tropical leaves onto small table tents and then placed a soft piece of vellum on top. The place cards were completed using dip pen calligraphy and luxurious black ink and made this gorgeous Miami, Florida gathering just that much more amazing!

Idea Two: Seating Charts

When planning a wedding without a plated dinner, a quick, easy and inviting option for helping guests find their seats is a beautiful seating chart. Incorporate your wedding colors-like these gorgeous grey watercolor swashed cards and elevate them using metallic gold hand lettering. Guest names can easily be hand written and a quick table number can be added to indicate which table guests should make their way to. Pinterest is a fantastic place to search for creative seating charts, like these ones which were clipped onto a boxwood hedge. Other amazing and trendy seating chart ideas include using windows, antique doors and champagne walls to help guests find their way!

Idea three: menus

Embrace the old saying that “we eat with our eyes first” and get guests excited for dinner and dessert with stunning menus! Menus can be placed on tables at each guest’s seat or hand lettered onto a larger surface to be placed by the food serving area. These menus incorporated watercolor flowers that were also used on the couple’s invitations which gave the whole wedding day an amazingly cohesive feel. Using those same hand painted pieces gave the table settings really lovely pops of color without much work and were very a super cost effective way to add more detail to the dinner tables!

This beautiful gold framed chalkboard, decorated with lush florals and warm candlelight prepared guests for a stunning and intimate wedding ceremony. Welcome signs can be modern and fun-think acrylic and pops of bright colors, rustic and farmhouse by incorporating pieces of antique furniture and frames, or even boho and whimsical by using tons of candles, succulent adornments and interesting shapes. The sky is the limit!
